Today’s painting was inspired by communion with nature and music in the beautiful city parks of Amsterdam. I’m thankful to have that opportunity. When I finished this painting I also thought about a turtle who took off her shell, which can be a metaphor for the feeling of becoming less guarded after dancing at the park with friends. ... Here in Amsterdam I participate in dancing in the park now because of corona virus we cannot do our 5 rhythms dance class indoors. After i feel less guarded, more relaxed, as a turtle willing to take off her shell. So that is the feeling i was going for here.
